Green Campaign

Sad Summer Fest recognizes the reality of climate change and strives to reduce its eco footprint as a touring festival. In 2021,2022, and 2023, we partnered with Reverb to help minimize the amount of single-use plastic bottles consumed during Sad Summer Fest.

We launched the first Sad Summer Fest bottle through their RocknRefill program. Each touring band and crew member was encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle on the road (or given one of ours) to cut back on the plastic waste.

We also sold this bottle exclusively at our merch tent so fans could join us in our commitment to the environment. 100% of proceeds from the sale of these bottles went back to Reverb to fund the music climate revolution program.

We offered free filtered water on site at every date of the festival and fans, staff, vendors, and beyond were encouraged to refill their bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day, instead of purchasing a single use bottle, wherever possible.

This summer, at Sad Summer Fest 2024 - we are bringing back the RocknRefill program in partnership with Reverb once again. Once again we have committed to having free filtered water available at refill stations on every date of the tour.

Why is this important to us?
