L.E.A.D. DIY, which stands for Lighting and Epilepsy Awareness Development in DIY, aims to educate those involved in music about the dangerous effects of strobe lighting and other visual stimuli at shows. L.E.A.D. distributes warning signs to venues, artists, and promoters to hang at shows using intense, flickering, or fast-moving lighting as a way to give light sensitive patrons an opportunity to remove themselves from a potentially dangerous situation.
SAD SUMMER MISSION:
Sad Summer Fest is teaming up with L.E.A.D. to keep festival goers with epilepsy and other forms of light sensitivity safe. Signage from L.E.A.D. will be on site to warn of lighting used in the show. Representatives will be in attendance - stop by their table to learn more!
